Overview.
The Goge Africa Foundation (GAF) was founded in 2004 as an educational foundation focused on youth development, community empowerment, and cultural awareness in Africa.
In 2016, I designed, deployed, and now manage the foundation’s website — built on WordPress, hosted via a cloud managed service, with SEO best practices in place — to amplify GAF’s impact, tell its story, engage stakeholders, and motivate action.

The Challenge.
GAF needed more than a static web presence. Key challenges were:
- Positioning the Foundation as a credible, trusted nonprofit organization among youth, donors, and partners.
- Clearly communicating its three pillars: Empowerment, Learning Platform, Promote Peace.
- Ensuring content about critical social issues (child abuse, trafficking, HIV/AIDS, etc.) is accessible, compelling, and visible in search.
- Building a site that supports ongoing content (programs, seminars, awareness campaigns) with strong performance, mobile responsiveness, and secure infrastructure.

I created a digital platform that reflects GAF’s values and mission, balancing design, performance, and storytelling:
- Infrastructure & Hosting
- Built on WordPress CMS, hosted on a cloud-managed service for stability, scalability, and uptime.
- Set up secure HTTPS, global CDN, and performance optimization.
- UX & Design
- Responsive, accessible UI/UX design for youth, donors, and community stakeholders.
- Clear navigation and sections for “About Us,” “Programs,” “Events,” “Awareness Campaigns,” “Contact,” etc.
- SEO & Content Strategy
- Implemented full SEO compliance: metadata, schema, image optimization, clean URLs.
- Optimized content around GAF’s mission categories: youth empowerment, education, awareness, peace-building.
- Integrated Google Analytics & Search Console for tracking traffic, engagement, and improvements.
- Ongoing Management & Engagement
- Regular updates with foundation programs, seminars, training, and awareness efforts.
- Maintain site security, backups, and performance.
